Personal Desalination & Water Filters: Products
HTI’s Personal Water & Desalination Filters Product Sheet
All HTI Personal Water and Desalination products have the highest purity of any personal water filters. Unlike other water filters, there are no harsh chemicals used and there is no pumping required. The process is non-clogging and results in an always-safe, refreshing drink. A sports drink syrup is used to drive the natural filtration process by forward osmosis resulting in a dilute sports drink that enhances hydration. In independent laboratory tests, HTI filters meet or surpass reductions for bacteria, viruses, and cysts as specified by the EPA for water purifiers.
Expedition™
Long treks in remote areas present problems where hydration is concerned. Do you load up your pack with heavy, bottled water, or hope that your filter can handle water along the way? The Expedition solves this quandary. Ultra-pure membrane technology will protect you from any biological pathogens and even remove heavy metals and other contaminants to non-detect levels. Each 4-oz syrup pouch will filter up to 3 liters of water, significantly reducing the weight on your back and making room for other essentials. Use the backpack-style Expedition with clean or dirty water, its unique non-clogging forward osmosis filter provides you with unprecedented options.
How it Works:
The Expedition’s dual-chambered reservoir can be filled either with clean water through its round port, or quickly filled with dirty water through the wide roll-top opening for filtration. Just dip and go. Very little effort is required of the user.

X-Pack™
The X-Pack can be filled from almost any contaminated stream, ditch or puddle, then tossed into your back pack. This revolutionary system filters on the go, delivering 54 fl. oz. (1.6 L) of pure drink. With X-Pack in your gear, you’ll never surrender to thirst.
How it Works:
To easily filter virtually any water, Pour dirty water into the red port of the X-Pack and then pour one bottle of sports drink syrup into the green port. Wait 4-12 hours until the inner bag fills. Pour the processed water into a clean container and the X-Pack is ready to use again.

HydroWell®
The HydroWell is a water can style hydration system. The osmotic membrane filter is built into the cap. The system sets up in minutes for either stationary or vehicle-mounted operations and can provide 30 L of clean drink per day from virtually any water source.
How it Works:
To operate, simply fill one can with dirty water to be filtered, plug one sports syrup pouch into the cap, and the HydroWell will immediately start pumping clean drink.

LifePack™

The LifePack emergency water supply makes 100 fl. oz. (3 L) of a clean drink each day for 3 days. During a natural disaster or civil emergency, water is almost always available BUT often is not drinkable. Water-borne disease is a major cause of death and illness at these times.
How it Works:
To easily filter virtually any water, Pour dirty water into the red port of the LifePack and then pour one bottle of sports drink syrup into the green port. Wait 6-12 hours until the inner bag fills. Pour the processed water into a clean container and the LifePack is ready to use again.

HydroPack™
They HydroPack is a one-time-use, self hydrating, emergency hydration pouch. Each 12 fl. oz. (355 ml) pouch is pre-filled with a flavored osmotic agent which, when fully hydrated, becomes an electrolyte enriched drink.
How it Works:
Simply place the pouch in any water source and it will self hydrate. The pouch itself is the forward osmosis membrane filter that allows the pouch to draw in water and reject even the harshest contaminants. The pouch will hydrate in approximately 10 hours. Once hydrated, insert a straw through the pouch or simply cut the corner off to consume.

SeaPack®
The SeaPack is a multi-use product that provides emergency hydration fluids from saltwater sources. Because the SeaPack utilizes a passive osmotic process, it is by far the easiest desalination technology available, even lending itself to one hand operation in case of injury.
How it Works:
The SeaPack is simple to use; just inject one 4 oz grape nutrient charge into the green port, and fill the red port with saltwater. Nature takes over from there, osmotically drawing fresh water through the membrane while rejecting salt molecules.
| System Specifications: |
| Volume: |
17 fl. oz. (500 ml) |
| Filter Life |
8 uses in seawater within 10 days

| Filter Output |
17 fl. oz. (500 ml) in 5 hours at 68ºF (20°C) and 8 hours at 41°F (5°C) |

SeaPack Crew™
The SeaPack Crew uses the SeaPack technology to provide emergency hydration fluids from saltwater sources, but is a self-hydrating one-time-use pouch. The package comes with three pouches that include a tether to secure the product to a life raft. The pouches are portable, compact and will produce a drink in as little as 8 hours.
How it Works:
The SeaPack Crew boasts simplicity of operation; just secure the tether, open the zip, shake the powder down into the membrane compartment and immerse the single use pouch into seawater. Nature takes over from there, osmotically drawing fresh water through the membrane while rejecting the salt molecules.
